Main Duties and Responsibilities

·Prepare advice on procedural or evidential issues;
·Correspond with the defence;
·Ensure that all factual evidence required to prove the allegations is obtained;
·Are the key point of contact for all witnesses;
·Interview key witnesses in complex cases or if the witness deals with novel or sensitive issues or is a vulnerable witness;
·Supervise witness statements taken by paralegals;
·Instruct experts and identify if any amendments are necessary to the expert report;
·Prepare instructions to counsel (both our internal advocates and the external bar);
·Attend conferences with counsel;
·Ensure that all action points following the conference are completed;
·Either draft the charge or review the draft charge against the evidence if drafted by counsel;
·Carry out disclosure of unused material;
·Liaise with the defence in the run up to the hearing;
·Supervise the preparation of the hearing bundle by the paralegal;
·Attend hearing at outset only, unless there are legal issues or problems with the case;
·Seek instructions from the client on any issues that arise in the course of the hearing;
·Prepare final reports at the conclusion of a case; and

·Either draft the charge or review the draft charge against the evidence if drafted by counsel;
·Carry out disclosure of unused material;
·Liaise with the defence in the run up to the hearing;
·Supervise the preparation of the hearing bundle by the paralegal;
·Attend hearing at outset only, unless there are legal issues or problems with the case;

Main Duties and Responsibilities
Solicitors carry out the day-to-day conduct of the regulator's cases under the supervision of a partner and with the assistance of a paralegal. In summary, solicitor caseholders:
·Prepare the case plan at the outset of the case;
·Prepare advice on procedural or evidential issues;
·Correspond with the defence;
·Ensure that all factual evidence required to prove the allegations is obtained;
·Are the key point of contact for all witnesses;
·Interview key witnesses in complex cases or if the witness deals with novel or sensitive issues or is a vulnerable witness;
·Supervise witness statements taken by paralegals;
·Instruct experts and identify if any amendments are necessary to the expert report;
·Prepare instructions to counsel (both our internal advocates and the external bar);
·Attend conferences with counsel;
·Ensure that all action points following the conference are completed;
·Either draft the charge or review the draft charge against the evidence if drafted by counsel;
·Carry out disclosure of unused material;
·Liaise with the defence in the run up to the hearing;
·Supervise the preparation of the hearing bundle by the paralegal;
·Attend hearing at outset only, unless there are legal issues or problems with the case;
·Seek instructions from the client on any issues that arise in the course of the hearing;
·Prepare final reports at the conclusion of a case; and
·Present cases to Practice Committees/Interim Orders Committees.

The Role
The firm has been a member of NHS Resolution's panel of lawyers since its inception. The Clinical
Law Advisory division comprises nearly 30 fee earners and the Advisory and Inquests team carries out a wide range of work including the  provision of an advisory and advocacy service for clients, acting in many of the leading inquest cases as well as advising clients on:
 
 regulatory matters;
 public law issues;
 judicial reviews;
 court of protection;
 mental health issues;
 consent and confidentiality;
 information law; and
 clinical risk management.
 
Main Duties and Responsibilities
A qualified Solicitor or Barrister to join the highly regarded team of advocates and healthcare
advisory specialists. Candidates will be expected to have advocacy experience. The role involves
being a key member of an expanding and highly respected inquests and advisory team. Successful
candidates will therefore need to be a confident Solicitor or Barrister and experienced advocate with
great personal presence in court who is dynamic, self-motivated and able to develop skills to work with
senior officers of the firm's clients. The majority of the work will be inquest focused but there will be
opportunities to become involved in the advisory work outlined above.
The team pride themselves on their professionalism and being well-respected and liked by both clients
and colleagues. You will need to be able to fit into a structured corporate environment but in return
you can expect to receive excellent supervision. Your advocacy experience is preferably gained
within a leading healthcare practice of Solicitors or Barristers, although we will consider experienced
advocates without healthcare experience.
 
Salary from £60,000 to £73,000

The Candidate
A qualified Solicitor with between 1 to 5 years PQE as an Advisory Solicitor, preferably within a leading healthcare law practice. The candidate will be highly confident and professional whilst being self motivated.

The Candidate
A qualified Solicitor with at least 3 years' PQE in commercial litigation and/or corporate/commercial projects is essential for this role.
Excellent drafting skills, willingness to create and maintain templates and precedents, enjoys variety in their work, feels confident in managing external counsel and experts, will take early responsibility for handling the challenges of litigation/mediation/adjudication/arbitration/expert determinations, will work hard to meet financial targets and support business development activities including CSR, and who is happy to work independently and co-operatively. The successful candidate will be positive and flexible, able to prioritise work to meet deadlines, relish attention to detail, want to be part of a highly motivated and successful team, professional and approachable.
 
The role offers the opportunity to develop leadership skills and will require candidates to demonstrate the ability to build collegiate relationships internally and externally.

Non Contentious Construction Solicitor


An outstanding opportunity for a Non Contentious Construction Solicitor is required by a leading legal services provider. The role will be based in London. Whilst the firm adopted agile working pre Covid-19 there will be an expectation to be office based a couple days per week.

The Role
The firm's national housing and regeneration team carries out a full range of commercial property work including development and construction work for its Registered Provider and Developer clients in public and private sectors. 
This role is for a non contentious construction solicitor (4+ years PQE) to a busy national team. The successful candidate will undertake a wide range of high quality and complex work for both public sector and independent sector clients including health and energy sector clients. 
The successful candidate will be a commercially minded solicitor who can work very closely with clients, provide first class practical advice and who is technically proficient in non-contentious construction work. 
The role will involve responsibility for your own case load as well as working closely with the Partners and Solicitors of a highly rated Housing & Regeneration team and supporting the partners on business development opportunities.
