A private practice law firm with an office in Portsmouth has a Family Legal Secretary role to support fee earners with secretarial support, typing, administration and file assistance.


The Firm
A private practice law firm with an excellent history in providing legal services to clients in the Portsmouth and South East Hampshire. Partner led and employing some very experienced lawyers across a wide range of legal disciplines including civil litigation and family law.


The Role
The Family Legal Secretary will support fee earners dealing with family law by undertaking audio and copy typing of legal documents, preparing court documents, collating trial bundles, administration and managing diaries.


The Candidate
The Family Legal Secretary role will suit candidates with an interest in working in a legal environment and must possess good keyboard and typing skills. Educated to at least "A" level standard or equivalent. A strong communicator and being well organised.


Salary dependent upon experience.

The Role
The legal secretary will have experience as a  Legal Secretary, ideally in Private Client, with good digital dictation and copy typing skills. The private client legal secretary role will support fee earners with in the private client department and will also require excellent IT skills, knowledge of Microsoft products and previous case management experience. Salary dependent upon experience.
 
Salary £20,000 to £22,000 dependent upon experience.

The Role
The Conveyancing Paralegal/Legal Secretary will work with a Senior Conveyancing Fee Earner providing support on all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions from instructions through to post completion including typing correspondence.
The work will involve:
Prepare various legal documents, using digital dictation, as and when instructed
Making online searches and Land Registry applications
Liaising with clients, solicitors and estate agents and other organisations
Using the case management system
Opening paper and electronic files, scanning and photocopying as and when required
 
The Candidate
A Conveyancing Legal Secretary/Legal Assistant will have 5 years previous conveyancing experience as a legal secretary or as a conveyancing legal assistant. The successful candidate will be required to have Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, good attention to detail with good keyboard and word processing skills, good numeracy skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Candidates must be positive, proactive, friendly, organised, be a good team player and able to work to deadlines and be a quicker learner
Salary to £26,000 with parking within a short walk of the office in the centre of Winchester.
Full-time hours: 37.5 per week

The Role
The role requires previous private client legal secretary experience to assist two fee earners and partners in the department with typing legal documentation, making appointments, managing diaries, answering client calls and arranging appointment, general administration and support associated with the private client fee earners managing case loads advising on all trust matters.
 
The Candidate
An experienced legal secretary, preferably with private client experience.
Full secretarial support experience including using a digital dictation system to produce correspondence and other documentation, maintenance of comprehensive and accurate client admin files.
