A Christchurch private practice law firm has a new opportunity for a Private Client Legal Secretary, with wills and probate experience.
 
The Firm
This law firm offers clients in the Hampshire region excellent legal advice across areas of law such as residential conveyancing, family, private client, commercial, corporate and litigation. Employing a wide range of talented lawyers with excellent levels of secretarial and administration support.
 
The Role
The legal secretary will have experience as a  Legal Secretary, ideally in Private Client, with good digital dictation and copy typing skills. The private client legal secretary role will support fee earners with in the private client department and will also require excellent IT skills, knowledge of Microsoft products and previous case management experience. Salary dependent upon experience.
 
Salary £20,000 to £23,000 dependent upon experience.

The Role  
The Property Legal Secretary will provide support to the Partner and department, dealing
with client queries, preparation of correspondence and documents both self generated and by transcription of digital dictation; File administration including opening/closing/archiving client files in a timely manner, photocopying, filing etc; Assisting with all aspects of commercial sale and purchase transactions including ordering and investigating searches, official copies and Companies House documents, dealing with exchange and completion; Producing documents such as lease extensions, deeds, completion statements and Land Registry forms; Handling Stamp Duty Land Tax requirements including calculations, submissions and payments; Liaising with clients and agents as necessary;
 Maintaining and coordinating Partner's diary appointments and diary notes and reporting on these as necessary. Regular consideration of client files and liaising with Partner on any action required; Support the secretarial team; answering incoming calls, greeting visitors to Reception on occasion, collection/delivery of daily
 
The Candidate
This Property Legal Secretary role requires, preferably current legal secretary property experience, or previous property experience combined with excellent us of MS word at an advanced level.

Conveyancing Legal Assistant
 
A Canterbury law firm has a requirement for an experienced Conveyancing Legal Assistant to work full time hours (9am to 5pm) monday to friday supporting the Partner in Residential Conveyancing.
 
The role will involve
 
·Opening and closing of client files;
·Obtaining client ID as necessary for Anti Money Laundering regulations;
·Handling all aspects of a sale and purchase transactions including ordering searches, official
·copies and Companies House documents, assisting in exchange and completion;
·Drafting documents such as lease extensions, deeds, completion statements and Land Registry
·forms, using the Land Registry portal;
·Handling Stamp Duty Land Tax requirements including calculations, submissions and payments
·Liaising with clients and agents;
·Providing secretarial support to partner, including arranging appointments, dealing with client
·queries in person and by phone, together with preparation of correspondence using digital
·dictation;
·Maintaining and coordinating diaries and diary notes and reporting on these as necessary;
·Regular consideration of client files and advising fee earners on any action required;
·To provide ad hoc secretarial cover for sickness and holiday absences in the team when needed;
·Participate in the office rota by covering Reception during lunch breaks, holidays and unforeseen
·absences; collection/delivery of daily incoming/outgoing post etc.
 
Salary to Circa £24,000
