The Role
The Private Client Legal Secretary will support a Private Client Solicitor undertaking typing of legal documents via digital dictation, filing, opening and closing of files on a case management system, office administration, diary management and answer the telephone.
 
The Candidate
A proven Legal Secretary with excellent keyboard skills and good attention to detail. A polite and confident communicator.
 
Additional information
Full time, 5 days per week, competitive salary dependent upon experience. The Private Client Lawyer role is commutable from Salisbury, Yeovil, Sherborne, Warminster and Blandford.

An experienced Conveyancing Assistant/Legal Secretary is required to assistance in their busy Conveyancing Department in the Winchester office at a private practice in the Winchester area.

The Role
The Conveyancing Assistant/Legal Secretary will work with a Senior Conveyancing Fee Earner providing support on all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions from instructions through to post completion including typing correspondence.
 
The work will involve:
Prepare various legal documents, using digital dictation, as and when instructed
Making online searches and Land Registry applications
Liaising with clients, solicitors and estate agents and other organisations
Using the case management system
Opening paper and electronic files, scanning and photocopying as and when required
 
The Candidate
A Conveyancing Assistant Legal Secretary will have at least 5 years' previous conveyancing experience as a legal secretary or as a conveyancing legal assistant. The successful candidate will be required to have Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, good attention to detail with good keyboard and word processing skills, good numeracy skills and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Candidates must be positive, proactive, friendly, organised, be a good team player and able to work to deadlines and be a quicker learner
 
Salary to £29,000 with parking within a short walk of the office in the centre of Winchester.
Full-time hours: 37.5 per week

A Conveyancing Paralegal with previous experience in Residential Property is required by a conveyancing team in a Northampton law firm.


The Role


Recognised by legal commentators in various directories for their legal advice in a wide area of law. The firm provides support and advice to clients on a regional and national basis in both personal and business law.

This is an exciting opportunity and the successful Conveyancing Paralegal will be managing a case load, under the supervision of a team leader,
 
This is a full and busy role and will include the following:
 
·Supporting the Team Leader;
·Managing your own caseload under supervision;
·Title checking, raising and reviewing enquires and reporting;
·Ordering and checking and reporting upon routine property searches;
·Checking mortgage offers;
·Dealing directly with clients, estate agents and lenders;
·Helping out other members of the team whenever possible;

The Candidate


Proven Residential Conveyancing experience and the ability to work within a busy team are essential.


Proven experience of working within a busy residential property team and have full knowledge of dealing with sale, purchase, re-mortgage and transfer of equity matters, including new build and leasehold.


Excellent business development skills are desirable as well as strong organisational skills and an ability to work with minimal supervision.

An outstanding opportunity for an experienced Legal PA to join a Leeds law firm with hybrid and flexible working arrangements. the Legal PA will work as part of the Employment division
 
The Role and Responsibilities
The Legal PA's principal role is to provide support to the Employment & Pensions Partners and Legal Directors in relation to client relationships and to ensure a high quality legal service to our clients.  The role will support them in providing a client focused business support service and assisting them with their day to day workload. This role will require police vetting to be able to assist with certain clients.
The main duties of a Legal PA will include, but are not limited to:
 
- Supporting the Partners and Legal Directors in business development activities, including arranging and coordinating meetings and events (online and in person), research, collation and preparation of materials and processing associated expenses;
- Diary, Inbox and 'To-do List' Management for Partners and Legal Directors;
- Supporting Partners and Legal Directors in the day to day delivery of legal services to clients, including preparation of letters and emails and management of documents;
- Where required, supporting the Partners and Legal Directors with the organisation of travel arrangements, booking and confirmation of reservations and dealing with related invoices;
- Liaising with Legal Administrators and floor support units over bundle preparation, filing, scanning, copying etc.
- Taking internal and external telephone queries, responding as appropriate and/or ensuring that all messages are passed on in a timely manner ;
- Day to day client management support for Partners and Legal Directors (where applicable), monitoring post and/or e-mails and dealing with as appropriate, ensuring that all client related correspondence is passed on to an appropriate fee-earner if the relevant person  is out of the office;
- Liaising with business support departments on behalf of solicitors as required;
 - Preparation of clients reports
- Managing and arranging a programme of client care and review meetings and preparation of MI materials for them;
- Working with finance to support in the management of billing and debt management;
 
Skills and Experience
Candidates should have:
- Ideally previous Employment/Pensions division experience
- Advanced knowledge of One Place system, Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visual Files, Winscribe and the Internet
- Excellent telephone manner and, after training, competent knowledge of telephone system
- Excellent communication, organisational and team skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Flexible and dependable, able to take the initiative
- Able to remain calm under pressure
- The ability to work to tight deadlines on a daily basis
