Civil Litigation Paralegal
 
An experienced Litigation Paralegal is required by a Litigation team in Exeter. The Litigation Paralegal will join a dedicated and busy Litigation team to work upon a variety of files under supervision of the Fee Earners.

The Role
The Litigation Paralegal will manage a contentious case load of mixed files involving debt recovery, boundary disputes, consumer disputes, personal injury claims, employment matters and contested probate. The work involves utilising a case management system, preparing trial bundles, drafting court documents and utilising civil procedure rules.
 
The Candidate
The Litigation Paralegal will have good post graduate experience and may hold CILEx or equivalent professional qualification combined with excellent inter personal skills, strong litigation procedural knowledge and good drafting abilities.

Conveyancing Legal Assistant
 
A Canterbury law firm has a requirement for an experienced Conveyancing Legal Assistant to work full time hours (9am to 5pm) monday to friday supporting the Partner in Residential Conveyancing.
 
The role will involve
 
·Opening and closing of client files;
·Obtaining client ID as necessary for Anti Money Laundering regulations;
·Handling all aspects of a sale and purchase transactions including ordering searches, official
·copies and Companies House documents, assisting in exchange and completion;
·Drafting documents such as lease extensions, deeds, completion statements and Land Registry
·forms, using the Land Registry portal;
·Handling Stamp Duty Land Tax requirements including calculations, submissions and payments
·Liaising with clients and agents;
·Providing secretarial support to partner, including arranging appointments, dealing with client
·queries in person and by phone, together with preparation of correspondence using digital
·dictation;
·Maintaining and coordinating diaries and diary notes and reporting on these as necessary;
·Regular consideration of client files and advising fee earners on any action required;
·To provide ad hoc secretarial cover for sickness and holiday absences in the team when needed;
·Participate in the office rota by covering Reception during lunch breaks, holidays and unforeseen
·absences; collection/delivery of daily incoming/outgoing post etc.
 
Salary to Circa £24,000

A Sheffield office of a national law firm require a Law Graduate  to join their Fast Track RTA team who are dedicated and collaborative professionals, use the law to secure justice for people who have suffered personal injury. 


The role will involve managing a caseload of ex-portal fast-track RTA cases.  Specifically you will be: investigating liability; assessing the strengths of a claim; gathering liability, causation and quantum evidence; liaising with clients, defendants, insurers, employers, witnesses, medical experts and the police; valuing claims; negotiating settlements, drafting pleadings and statements of case and dealing with court directions. 


The firm requires someone who takes pride in delivering a high quality legal service, has a strong work ethic and a natural ability to demonstrate empathy towards clients.  They will provide you with interesting and intellectually challenging work, development opportunities in other areas of PI law.
